Hi, Folks! I appear to have a decent Jreds 910 on my hands.. good compression, good spark, but probably needs a carb job. I bought it to take down some large diameter juniper but I need a bar adequate for the job. Where are you Jreds folks getting the older style Jred bars? I'm thinking 32 - 36 inches.

Also (and this may be the source of my fuel delivery troubles) there is a fuel line that arcs over the carburator from left to right that terminates in a nipple-type arrangement. I'm hoping someone tells me that its to vent the gas tank, but it's possible that its supposed to go somewhere and has been snapped off? Comments? Thanks, guys (er, and maybe girls)!!

The tube you are talking is the vent tube with probably at the end some kind of small brass thing inserted. You can get an Oregon bar up to 37" but on .404 pitch only.Up to 20",its on 3/8 tho.

Oregon 32" .050- 320rwdd009, can get up to 42" in .063

"... and you're always glad you came..."

Thank you, my ArboristSite bretheren!! What a great bunch... I find myself humming the "Cheers" theme song!

The correct tail pattern for the 910 is the D024, and there is also a couple of others that will fit according to Oregon. D196 is one of them.
The longest Oregon bar that will fit is the 27" 270GNDD196 acc. to the selector guide. It is .050 3/8".

Maybe the D009 tail pattern can be used, but it will have to be modified.

GB has Pro Top bars that will fit, up to 32" in 3/8". :chainsaw:

Sawtroll, your right, I looked in the wrong column. I think the D009 would have to be filed out a bit.

Yes, that is right, and the oil holes is in a different position. It may work, but you may also have to drill new ones - I don't really know....

I see that Oregon does list a 28 in. bar for $52, which may or may not be big enough for milling depending on the tree. If any of you end up with a larger, ophaned Jred bar that you no longer need, email me. Cash on the barrel!

By the way, the carb job worked wonders. The saw is an outright boomer.
