Chris J (Knot Whole).

The 025 gets heavy after awhile. It has an 18" bar on it but I do not think that is my problem. It's just that the powerhead is heavy for the little stuff.

What do you all think of the Homelite XL2?

Is this a good saw? It is supposed to be light and has dual triggers, as far as I can tell.

Thanks.

David

It is 26cc and 7.2lbs powerhead only, no chain or bar. Info from mike acres site.

Ask Sedanman about the 170 that he has for sale; he knows saws, and won't steer you wrong just to sell a saw. Ditto what others have said about a rear handle saw over a top handle (a little extra weight maybe, but better control for safety). If you're looking for a noticeable weight savings over the 025, you're probably?? going sacrifice some HP.
