I'm wonderin...how does the MS200 cut compared to an 025? I don't use my 025 on anything over 8"-10" or I grab the 361 which is twice as fast 10" and up.

So for limbing and chopping up to 10" max...more likely 8" max...what's the comparison of MS200 and 025?

What bars are you guys runnin on your MS200's? 14's or 16's?

I run a 16 - nice reach for a ground saw or bucket. A 12 would be nice up a ladder or in a tree.

A 250 has more HP.. but it's bulky and not in the same class as a 200. It's like comparing an 029 to an 026..

Thanks for all the help!

The 339 looks like a nice saw but a bit steep for a thrash-about saw. Really, the old Husky 41 that I have now still runs ok and doesn't let me down but the vibes from the old thing are starting to get to me. It gets hung off the side of the loader in the woods, tossed in the back of the truck, hung off the Jerry can rack on the back of the Land Rover for off-road trips, etc. and I'd feel bad about doing that with a $350 saw. Still, it's the saw I'll use to cut 90% of my firewood so it's gotta perform pretty well.

I'm really leaning towards the Stihl MS180 with a 14" bar. It's under 9lbs. and can be had for around $220 from either two of my very local dealers. Anything bigger and I might as well grab one of my other saws.

I would probably have taken the 339xp. They are really light, and balance and handle perfectly - as far as I can judge without actually cutting with one.

95VP/H30 chain is standard on them here, not 3/8" lo-pro.
