For those who don't know this is my saw. I have never had a fully ported saw before. I have a dolmar 5105 stock that's the closest to a ported saw I have owned until now. I'm gonna have to take it easy at first on this saw. :)

Congrads! Looks like you have a heck of a saw on your hands!

I would suggest some safety gear.

The video was deceiving. What type of wood was this oak, maple, ash? I meant know disrespect, Ken

None taken. :)

Poplar.

Jesus Jones, I had just made my mind up to sell my 084 and my two 038s. I dont think I will sell the 84 now and I probally shouldnt read what you did to the 038 or I will be keeping them too. You the MASTER

It will do a faster cut.........Jon was afraid of the chain derailing and wouldn't really push.

A few years back I went to a Texas GTG where the host, Aggiewoodbutchr, had a 084 modded by ***. He used it for milling, but for kicks he ran it with a 18" b&c (IIRC), but it kept throwing the chain. There's a thread around here, but I don't recall if I got any vid of the 084 with 18" b&c.

I had to modify this bar quite a lot to fit the large pattern of the 084.......plus it was tailed to match a 9 pin. It stays on pretty well. I've been running it this morning.....man you can stand on that big bastard!!!!! :msp_thumbup:

I could only imagine what you could do with that saw.

Never had to mod a bar on large mount 084 till running 10T. 9's were no problem for stock lg mount bars.

I even had a couple bars shorter then 16" even though they ran 60dl chain (middle one). Other not shown was roller nose.

This bar was not suppose to fit the 084. :msp_unsure:
