Heck man I've been chopping corn for weeks and hav'ent even got to use it yet. Hopefully we'll be back into fencing this week. Then I'll get to try her out some.

Ouch! Sorry randy. Glad it runs well! I hear it's waiting for a 3-4 foot tree at a friends place... The 660 dual port muffler modded is a good candidate for that too... Heck might even try my dolmar 5105 on it! Little 50cc! Lot of torque and power!

Randy,
Have you ever put a D handle on to help with starting, like the ms460 rescue handle?
Saves your hands! Nice build and beautiful pictures!

I need to grab a few of those.......Jon and I were talking about that yesterday. This saw doesn't even have an Elastostart. :(

You guys gonna make KY next month?

Here ya go Josh..knocked this twin stem oak down today with my big echo "Rhino". Heh. Bit over three foot at the butt end. I'll leave that stump end big chunk and some of the fatter part of the stems for your new ported 084. Plenty of beef there for ya to chew on! I'll knock down the four footer later.

Looks great mark! How'd the echo run? What's the cc on her?

Runs strong. 80 cc, 36" bar. Not fast but strong and it has a gusher for an oiler, has both an auto and a manual. I mean it slings that oil out. That size bar is really pushing it, but..that's what it is for too, don't usually need a saw that big, but it comes in handy when you do...

I don't know if you can see it in that crappy pic but that tree had rot *exactly* where the hinge was. I knew it was squirrelly when I was getting close in the back cut and saw the chips go brown, but a few taps on the wedges and it went over easy. I laid out a buncha big branches for it to fall on so a lot of it is up off the ground for easier bucking.

I do not think I could run that thing all day long though..it is not a "light weight trim saw". I had to adjust my felling cuts a little as I am just not used to wielding a bar like that on a tree that size. That's one of the larger trees I ever did. Your saw is heavier though, from what I remember. And certainly more powerful, so ported..gotta see that badboy!

Randy Ill have videos. No worries.

Mark I see 3 videos: 70cc 90cc 122cc (084 660 and whatever 70cc saw I get) on that log in picture.

I'm sure the 084 is heavier... All metal for most part. I'm sure the echo has more plastic then my 084? Right?

It does now. That saw is a combo I made from an older metal one for the engine (fireman's quickvent saw), with a more modern set of plastics from a "normal" saw around it. With that bar though it is still heavy. For me anyway, I'll have to use it more and eat more wheaties to get used to it.. ;)

I need to find an inner dog for it and a full wrap.

Randy
I decided to sell my 084 anyways and just put it up on the bay I also put a plug in for you on my auction. Never know the new owner might see your magic and send it to you.
