Mcculloch Chain Saw Problemo

I have an old McCulloch chainsaw. The last time I tried to use it...I started it and would only idle. When I gave it gas, it would die. Now I've changed the spark plug, checked the exhaust and it won't even start. What might be my problem? HELP! I am open for suggestions as I am getting very frustrated!

Brand new 046 Mag, you laugh, but, it would fix your problem forsure.

Anyway there will be enough guys here that can help you out. I just thought you would like at least one reply albeit worthless.

I'd bet your carb diaphragms have stiffened. Put in a carb kit you should be fine.
