No, I just moved it to a more convenient location in 2008. Really a 20 gallon unit is big enough for me.

Just looked a wee bit small with that big ol' 3-25 (or whatever it is) sittin' in it!

I have the same one in TSC colors and also find it more than adequate for my needs.

Read back a few pages, there is in fact a forwarding address, or at least was. Perhaps the reference has been removed.

To keep this one going, I'll add a few photos. I picked up the 1-71, 450, and SP125 several years ago, as well as the 1-85 in the background. In those days my chainsaw workbench consisted of a piece of plywood on a couple of saw horses.

Later on I graduated to an old wooden bench I used to have to keep my few saws on. You can see it in the background, by now I was adding a few more saws to the collection.

Eventually I had to put up some shelves to get most of the saws off the floor.

Today I have most of the wall space in my garage and workshop covered.

...and there are well educated people out there that worry about new diseases that modern medicines can't kill. LOL

Good to see you're still out there doing something you have a passion for. Thanks again for the help with the PM700.

Jeff from Illinois

Ron - you have way too much fun.

Jeff - I have a PM700 on the bench right now as one of the ongoing projects. This one will receive a NOS piston and cylinder thanks in part to your piston contribution.

My latest additions that came in while I was traveling the past three weeks. First up a box of MM parts thank to minosi, some would not be thrilled with a box of Mini's but there are two great top handles in there amongst the stuff, I will make good use of all of this.

The other is a RH start MAC10-10 from 6-10. He got a clapped out 3-10E that he worked miracles on and I got a running 10-10. I did have to add the bar and chain...

Shoot, Mark's back already. Better get them oil pump clips that have been riding in the car with me for weeks mailed!

Is anyone familiar with this chain? I recently got a loop of it and it's 1/2" and has an interesting tooth shape I think anyway for 1/2" McCulloch chain. Only thing I have seen close is a carbide tooth chain with SM on it but this tooth looks different. I am guessing this is late 50's maybe? I have Pintail, narrow kerf pintail, super pintail and Pro chain but this chain is different. First time I have run across it... Did this come on a certain model saw?

A couple weeks ago I took three junk 7 foot Doug Fir 2 x 10's with old paint, nail holes,chips/gouges leaning up behind the shed out back and turned them into a sturdy shelf for my unfinished project saws.Tired of them cluttering the shop floor.Notice there's room for another 3 or 4,depending on their size.I'm always thinking ahead you see.

Why spend $25 on new wood that just gets oil stains, dings & dents from shop abuse? Save that for parts or towards the next project...;)

I think it is just chipper chain that has been ground with a lot of hook.

Yep appears to be that... Just haven't run across any like this before. I guess an early chain. Still hunting for that elusive Chisel 1/2" chain. Saw a loop on flea bay but it was 300.00 asking price. I don't get why it is so expensive or hard to find. 404 chisel isn't too hard to find and it's not expensive at all. 1/2" is a whole another animal. I have on loop of some 9L for a 31"bar that has about half the life in it but I want a new loop of it. It will last until I depart this world's. Oh well sooner or later I'll find some. I've had great success finding everything else...

From what I understand, the guys who run "bike saws" like to run the 1/2" pitch chisel chain. I am happy with my 1/2" pitch chipper chain on several of the gear drive saws for general cutting, make a large kerf so it does not cut fast but the chains stay sharp pretty well.

I also have one loop of 9/16" on my 55, and 5/8" pitch on the 77, both should last well into the next owners lifetime as little run time as they get.

I like how my chipper cuts too I just want some chisel to run it on at least one saw. I have heard the same thing about the 1/2" chisel as you have but a still I would think sooner or later some would show up here and other but you never a see it. I guess I'm lucky to have the one loop I have.

As everyone seems to have left this thread I thought I'd start posting some of my none Mcculloch saws.

DSC1stSearsSaw.JPG

This is one of my go to saws for cutting fire wood. There are very fiew big trees around here so this 18"
Sears/Roper 3.7"/60cc saw will more than do the job. I got it new and have used it constantly ever since.
I made an adapter plate to reroute the chain oil so I could use Homelite Bars. I stumbled across a pile
of Bars and chains for a couple bucks each.

I think, Next up will be my Poulan XXV.
