Apparently my posts are now being deleted.

Mark, I'm on my phone right now, so I am limited what I can do, but I don't see any deleted posts of yours.

Might be another dang bug in the system. Could you please post what you posted and where in the support forum so the tech can look into it?

Hey Mark,
Are you going to be back in Indiana anytime? I'm working on a sp125c at the moment. Tom

Mark says I have too much fun. I would have a whole lot more fun if I was twenty years younger. I didn't finish today's work but at the moment I feel like I'm finished. Ron

Today's workout. Someone else bucked the trunk of the smaller 40"+ tree during the week; that made it very difficult to get in place to cut the larger 50"+ tree.

The arsenal: MS362, PM800 and SP125C. Responsibility: Crown - MS362; mid-section to 3'+ - PM800; main trunk - SP125C

With all due respect to you Steve, more like a very unprofessional worm in your midst....(and I'm being nice).

Furthermore, you just don't arbitrarily mess with Mark Heimann.

Period.

I have a ton of respect for Mark. I also don't see any deleted posts, by anyone. When we (moderators) delete a post, it leaves a deleted message that we can see.

I still suspect a glitch in the system somewhere.

It's sad that many of you have gone elsewhere, I do go there but not as often as here. I do get the WHY behind it, though. I can't say I haven't done the same before, myself. Once here (was perma-banned for a while for sharing the link to the other place, which is a ghost town now), and also on another site that didn't listen well to the members. I haven't been back to that site in 14 years.

Hey Tom - I was in Warsaw last week, hope to be down south (around Seymour) sometime this week but nothing back up your way anytime soon. Send a private conversation or give me a call.

Ron - I find it a bit easier to start the saw on the ground with the starter turned up like that.

No additional saws lately but I have picked up a few pieces of literature off e-bay...

I know you to be a purposeful man so I thought you would enlighten us. Personally, I like to start my big saws on the log. I would probably clock mine back a little if I could. Ron

I certainly don't want to clutter this thread with additional comments or speculation, nor do I want you to think I was implying anything toward you. I will suggest however, that new admin level folks have clearly demonstrated their ability to do some pretty weird things for what certainly seem to be arbitrary reasons on many occasions since the XenForo / Seeksadmin / TODO10 migration....including not only deleting posts, but whole threads.

I was involved in a recent thread that was locked by a moderator BECAUSE of a certain new admin behaving like a child...which was eventually re-opened by said admin...who probably deleted Mark's post without leaving a trail as well.

Now where were we? Oh yeah..., over there.

I came home yesterday to find a 650 sitting outside my shop door. Someone left it there and as of yet I don't know who. Upon looking at the saw it looks very good. The bar still has most of it's lettering. But then I lifted off the air cover and that is where the problem starts. Completely missing carb. It is complete otherwise. I guess the hunt is on for a carb and who ever brought the saw. I already think I know the answer but are these saws very high up on the collectable scale? Seems like a lot of plastic for a McCulloch saw.

At first I thought you meant you had a 650 which is a desirable saw. It's an older model front tank saw with no plastic. It's a gear drive.

I'm pretty sure you're describing a PM650. Which is not near as cool but some people still like them.

The 600 Series McCulloch saws are not very popular among "saw enthusiasts" but are popular enough among those that need to put wood on the wood pile.

Parts for the 600 Series including carburetors are very easy to come by, but check the compression before you go too far. That saw needs to be 150 PSI or better to really run well.
