It is now an 11 1/2 fins flywheel and Craftsmen has a wrench to replace. Sorry I broke it. :bang: :bang: :bang: Ron
You do know that's a tubing wrench right?

Fixed it for you.
I have a question relating to the bad ass Yellow American Hot Rod Chainsaws.
If I'm reading my IPL right the oil tank from any 44, or a 1-71 will fit my 1-70, is that right???
I don't know, he has been around Homelites, better start with a 10-10.

I'lll get one up when it's done. I have to order chain for this saw. I have a rim and drum to go on it and a NOS .063 28" Oregon roller nose for it. I'm thinking 3/8 .063 chisel skip with an 8-tooth. Any thoughts? Should I stick with 7? May get both and see what happens. I reckon this should have the snot to haul an 8 pin. My 288 with a 28" and full comp destroys hardwoods (yes, it will out-rev a Super 250 by 3000 or so WFO)...
Actually, I should dig in the box, I think I have an extra 8 that I tried on the 372 and didn't like (until I get around to having it ported).
I thought I would post some pics of the 1-70 I picked up the other day. My son-in-law cleaned the tanks, cleaned and set the points, and rebuilt the carb. It's running pretty damn good.
Here a shot of the oil tank, the bottom mounting point is for the spike is missing. If anyone has a good one let me know.
Very nice 1-70! Cut with it yet? Then your addiction will start.

They are out there for less, tempted to pick one up.

Just bolt it on the driveside cover. Do you have a set?
No I sure don't. I've been studying on this thing a bit, if I had two I could bolt them both together at the bottom with a roller chain catcher.
