so is this a model worth messing with for 40.00? not running but not locked up. says it has compresssion.
Thought I did well a couple months ago when I picked this up for $100 - first time I ever saw one in my area. Cleaned it off a bit, new fuel, and she popped off in less than 6 pulls. Had the original 20” bar with the McCulloch tip still on it.

I sent a message thru facebook to the guy selling the PM60 I posted early this morning asking for a photo of the other side of the saw. his response 10 hours later was "no. its not available". yet the ad remains up. so many losers on facebook marketplace.
I'm guessing they have sold it, but are leaving the ad up until its gone in case the buyer is a no-show.

Yes originally they used very thin aluminum washers that would crush when torqued. Then they went to rubber orings or washers. Ive had good success with both o-rings and ive made small rubber washers. They squish out when tightening the bolts down. Usually a pair of needle nose pliers takes care of the excess.

I'm going to use rubber washers intended for roofing screws.

I received the Eager Beaver 2.1 today & wasn't very happy about it.It has intermittent spark even after trying 3 different spark plugs. It'd fire on a prime in the plug hole, but if I gave it a prime in the carb the plug would be wet & no fire. The manual oiler doesn't work either, even with oil in the tank.Another 300 series junker.

I think I might've found the no oiling issue on my E.B.2.1 that I bought 5 yrs.ago.When I pulled the tank off the oil line was all kinked & I replaced it not knowing that there's supposed to be a spring in the line to prevent it from collapsing. That spring was missing, apparently someone had been in the oiling system prior to me & they disposed of it,or just didn't know what the purpose was.The part # 93998.I guess it pays to read the service manual every now & then.

Howdy!

My Walbro check valve kit looks like it might come in today. I would like an idiot's installation check, please.

The order of parts that go into the carb would be:

Little black disc
Brass assembly (screen and clip facing up)
Welch Plug

Today I pulled the oil tank off the E.B.2.1 to see if all was the way it should be - spring in the oil line,a free & clear pick up,& no kink or breaks in the line,& all was good. The problem must be in the pump, possibly a stuck check valve.I know nothing about these oil pumps & would greatly appreciate some help.

Ed I think the guys in the mini mac thread might have discussed those.

Jeff - I like the Viton fuel tank gaskets, I've been getting them from Sawzilla but they seem to be out currently. There are others on eBay offering them as well.

It won't help Syncop8r but I did find a small stash of 111025 sealing washers as we were finishing up the Discount Marine inventory. I've been using an 009 o-ring and have not had any problems so far.
