I got the Super 10-10 yesterday & could only check it's compression which is good.I went through the Super 10-10 today & found that it must've been sitting idle for the past 25-30 yrs.I pulled the FW cover off & it was caked with old oil & sawdust that was almost petrified.I got it cleaned out the best I could for now,I'll have to pop the FW & the coil to get at it better.Missing a bar plate,as usual.I checked for spark & was surprised it has good blue spark. It had the wrong plug in it as usual too.I put fuel in it & pulled & pulled & got nothing till I primed it.It wants to run,but I'll need to change the fuel filter & possibly pull the carb for a rebuild.

I put oil in my original Super 10-10 that I bought a little more than 4 yrs.ago & fired it up.Both oilers seem to be working as they should now.

I know it's not exactly a yellow saw but you guys are my buddies and thought I'd show you what I've gone n done.

These trees are Mac food. Around 60 of them some are 24inch a couple are over 30. Lots are 20 odd and a heap of smaller ones. Bluegum:) 20230311_152556.jpg

It's a wee little house but 3 bedroom and is enough. Two log burners so will be toasty

Can use the railway land too and no panic there's 3 trains every 24 hours.

A heap of chook areas and coups too. 1 big 1 hiding here in the nut corner and a couple little one's. 20230311_152657.jpg
Not a huge amount of shed space but enough. Lots of we nooks to hide saws :) 1 single garage for Rose's 1946 austin 16.

Got to get into wood in a big way now to pay for it but ahh the grocerie bill will be a little cheaper. Dunny paper may be up though20230311_152747.jpg

CONGRATS Jethro! Looks like the place will keep ya busy, and happy!

There isn't much prettier to me than a old 81 with fresh rubber. This picture reminds me of how I ended up with Bobs parts. It all started a number of years ago now, searching for fresh A/V mounts for saws for Uncle and myself. Thats how I found Bob, how I landed here and met you folks. Basically how my life has worked. The TV show, Track Chair, now the parts. Life's funny and wonderful at the same time.. All the good things that I have wondered my way into were not planned. All the things I planned, never worked out. OK I will shut up now and stop the sentimental train before it gets up to full steam lol. I got to go build shelves for parts to go on. Have a great weekend my yellow and black brothers!

My grandfather kept a few corn cobs in the outhouse in case of a paper emergency. They were alway happy to get the Sears & Roebuck catalog too.

Been there done that. There was an outhouse in use on my place when my dad bought it. I asked the old timer we bought it from if he was excited to move to town and have an indoor bathroom and hot water. He replied and I quote... " Hot water with the turn of a knob sounds good but as for an indoor facility, I just don't understand how people can do something like that right there in their house!"

Exactly ! When I started to collect various saws I bought a 1-70 and sold it because I found it a bit slow in comparison of a 395 , 660 or other but now I regret it because I didn't know it was the same chasis as
105 or 125 . In Europe i can't find any other mac than 10-10 since I found this 1-70 I haven't still .

had a belgium 10-10 til recently

Good score on the lifesentencestyle block!
Hahaha ya is a life sentance alright.

Thanks mate yeah buzy as. I think a "lazy" Sunday will no longer exist.

Jethro! Congrats on both ventures. The farm and fam. Sounds like youre doing great again. Busy man you are. I like it!!
Thanks Vinny 😊 she's 5 months now. She still working 12 hours a day and splitting wood on days off. Take it is they say. Get stuffed she says I got sh!t to do.

Slowly shifting now and she's all done on the dairy farm in May. Gotta prune this place up for next summer.

Anyone after any firewood??

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle.Congratulations Jethro! I guess I don't have to ask what you've been up to lately,Lol.You'll find out how much work it is to prune all those fruit & nut trees.Great wood to heat with too.I'll be 65 in June & I keep on planting trees myself.Seems the wildlife here gets to the fruits before I can.I've found that deer are no more than rats with hooves.

It seems that lately nothing can be simple in my life.I pulled the carb for a rebuild after a new fuel filter did nothing & in the process the fuel line broke due to being brittle. No problem,I had a new fuel line on hand & it actually fit nicely,no leaks! The SDC37 that was on the saw was the culprit.I put a new kit in it & it refused to hold pressure.I went & got another SDC37 that held pressure, put it on & fueled it up.The saw starts hard & refuses to idle.It throttles up very nicely, but after idling for about 15-20 seconds it acts like it's loading up & dies.I have to choke it to restart it & it does it all over again.I'm going to pull the FW cover & spray brake cleaner under the FW to see if the seal is bad there.Too bad I can't do that on the clutch side.

Prime example... excuse the husky

On the phone sorting dairy farm stuff on her day off while barrowing away and stacking dry wood.

Ever tried pushing a wheel barrow while on the fone and a parasite pushing on your bladder Hahaha
There's very few things busier than having Mother nature as your boss.
As an old farmers wife once said, " it's a good life ,if you don't weaken."
