Awesome on that info.

Now you just need to find that cover:laughn:

I cannot really find hardly any parts for this saw on a search:waiting:

Inclined to say it's not a 70. Not sure, could be 60, PM55, PM555. Looks a lot like dad's PM55, anyway...

Ended up being an impulse buy. I havnt learned all the fine details to distinguish on from another. Hoping for a something like the 70 or even 7-10, but expecting a 10-10:laughn:.

Brian, it does have the 2 bolt attachment to the bottm of the knuckle guard, and the shroud looks fat. It very well could be a 70cc version.

Does anyone have a parts list that would show if that part# matches the one mine calls for? It does seem pricey but the do have it. Thanks for finding that.

Do people mod these engines into carts or are they specific design motors for carts only?

Yes and yes...

Opportnists immediately label saw engines as being kart engines. They are not. Saw engines, in certain cases, can be made to kart spec, but by and large they are different. Kart engines are ported for revs and horsepower, saw engines are ported for torque and pulling power.

Hey Guys, would a good running pro mac 700 be worth $100?

Uh oh. I talked to this guy last night and am going to pick it up Thurs night after work. Didn't realize I might be stepping on your toes. I did leave the door open for him to sell it to someone else so we'll see what he does.

He sent me pictures.

I cleaned up the 660 today and was wondering if anyone else has one here? My question is the gear case. I see a drain on the bottom of it but cannot see anything above it for a reference as to filling it with oil. Does it run off bar oil? What am I missing on this?

I just do not want to run it without knowing for sure that is full or empty.

I expected to find a fill plug but see nothing like that.

Gotta be a fill plug on there somewhere. Probably just a bolt on the side of the case. Heimannm (Mark) has a 650 or 660 (or both) if I'm not mistaken. Think he's still out of town however...

I have a 650, but have never checked the oil level in the transmission. Maybe I can take a look at it tomorrow and see if I can find something that you may have missed.

Here is a pic of a really nice 10-10 that I got on trade from another member here. It has 160psi compression and isn't missing much paint. Looks like it has some white overspray on it from being too close to something that was being painted. A little brake cleaner or paint thinner will probably take that off though.

That would be great. I can take a picture of it tomorrw as well. It clearly has a drain plug. Just not seeing a refill plug.

Looking at the ipl I dont see anything other than that screw you are talking about, and I would think it would use gear oil. I have the ipl for the 660/650, you can pm me you email and I will send it if either of you need it.

Hey all.
My knowledge of Macs is fairly limited so maybe I could get some feedback from the pros here.
I'm pretty sure I came across a model 47 today. It was dirty and a little beat but looked to be all there under all the crap.
I don't know how rare it is or what kind of demand there is for this saw or it's parts? I read a bit on Acres site but hope for some more details and maybe a ballpark figure to offer for it in the condition described.
Thanks mucho,
Mark

Sorry for the bad pic but it's the best I can do.
