I hope everything mates properly for you. You should enjoy running this saw once you get it together. I wish I knew the engineering story on the PM8200 and the DE80 as I believe their production overlapped. Ron

Bob - I don't know if it will help you but there is a PM800 oil tank for sale on e-bay right now.

Mark

Actually I lucked out. Got a long block unit from teh neighbor. Had a bad clutch side bearin and some scoreing. But if it ever comes to it the piston can be saved and reused along with the cylinder. I just got to repaint the tank half grey to match the rest of the saw.
Thanks for the tip Mark

Shop at a hobby or craft store for a leather punch. You want one with the wheel of multiple sizes. Just made some gaskets for a Poulan oiler and a Mac carb adaptor.

Muffler gasket? Very, very seldom have I found a gasket between the muffler and the exhaust port. Not saying one shouldn't be there but in the real world they are rare.

And, the next day I find a gasket under the muffler on the Pioneer 1200 I got saturday.

Spent a whole $40 on it. There is also a 440 mac at the same shop.
Bob

I actualy like the 440 quite a bit. Kind of an odd mix of parts from the various McCullochs. If one was local (or cheap enough when shipping was counted in) I'd certainly grab it. I have an AF cover from one for some reason....

Hate to but in but I will anyway. How is the 47? I am second in line today for a NR 47 for $20. Overall condition looks good from pics, even comes with manual.
Thank you.

finally got a Mac ... been keeping an eye out for a local SP125.
a Mac 250 popped up so took it home, along with an old David Bradley.

Sp81

C'mon Stinkbait and give us the full story on the 81. He's here, I can smell the bait
