Good Junk..?

Hello all. I'm in need of some help to identify two saws i acquired this morning while helping a friend pick up a load of scrap..The first is a gear drive with the numbers 1-70/1-80 stamped on the bottom left and the number 5535 on the left.. Don't know why it has both numbers on it.. The other saw has the number 63629 stamped on the bottom left side of the saw with 1377 on the right.. Both saws are mostly complete,, with bar and chain. Minus spark plugs and one is missing it's muffler. Any help would be really appreciated..:msp_thumbup:

Thanks all for the help.. this just keeps getting better. both saws have spark, good compression and no scoring of the cylinder ..Just pulled the muffler off and took a little look see. Now were can i find the specs for the 795 i found them for the 1-80?I'm seeing 87cc for the 1-80 and i think 103cc for the 795.?

HBO - It that 1-80 should end up looking for a home, I'd be happy to help.

PM610 - as far a hot rodding 600 series saw, I think you need to start with some port work and the possibility of a pop up piston to up the compression.

Other than that I don't if there are other parts or saws that would allow you to modify that saw.

There is a fellow at CSC.se that did some racing with a 610, I think it was Al Smith.

Here's the link to Acres for the 795. Grab a couple of loops of full compand go kill some oak,

Model Profile: 795

I have a 795, one of the distinguishing characteritics is the compression release. Fun saw to run, mine needs to have a few more tanks run through it to get everything working just as it should.
