Rick posted up a day or two ago that he runs 94DL of .404 on two different 30" Homelite bars. That jogged my memory, as I now remember counting that many DL on my XP1020 with the 30" Cannon roller nose (six months ago). Crap. Now you're making me doubt my memory again Charles. Does that mean I need to go out and count the dang DL's on that saw again?

One quick thought here.......................my saw has an 8 pin rim on it. Did you count the DL count for your saw with a 7 pin rim or 7 tooth sprocket?

One of mine is also a cannon roller nose and 94 is the magic #. The other is an oregon sprocket tip bar.

Went off for a recount, yes 94 it is :monkey:.

Glad I go this right before I went by the shop tomorrow.

Aaron's quite happy that he doesn't need to go trudge through tall wet grass and muddy ground in the rain to go count 94 drivers on a a greasy old saw in a cold dark shop afterall!

Thank ya', thank ya' very much...

Might have to venture out in to the cold rainy night myself. 20 minutes ago there was a raccoon on the porch. Little bastard didn't wait around for me to go get the .22...

If he's a solo act, he gets lead. Family troupe, I have silent, efficient methods...

Well if your really need me to............I guess I can go out there and count drivers....:msp_unsure:

I've killed more than a few of the little bastards (and possums) myself. They come up on the deck, even with the lights on and my family right next to the slider. We bring the cat's food in at night, but the little buggers still come up. One of 'em tore the crap out of the screen door climbing up to get to the table that the cat's food sits on during the day..............right in front of me. He stuck around too long.

Aquilla Super Colibri's feed great through my little Winchester '06 pump gun, go at a measured 530fps (with a 20gr pill), and are much quieter than an air rifle of that power range. The 'standard' Colibris only go about 375fps and are NOT recomended for rifles, as they can get stuck in the bore! out of a .22 pistol or revolver, they're great quiet rat killers. Neither round cycles an autoloader however.

I wouldn't hessitate to use 'em to kill rats that'd dare to piddle on my Mccullochs in the cold/dark shop. There's the on-topic content!:hmm3grin2orange:

I reckon he's gone for the night... The first thunderstorm of 2011 just rolled in...

And I didn't even start a McCulloch.

and you too by the look of things.

I have an '06 pump full of shorts for the same critters. My Dad gave it to me when I was 10.

Mr Bowsaw must have all the 123cc models now.
Waiting for video of that handsome brute Cliff.

Nope. Not even a token bid. This time of year is screwy. 2 guys with tax refund checks and a hard-on can do all kinds of goofy things.
That sounds like a great new thread - "Stuff I'm doing with the part of the refund I'm hiding from the spouse"

I bought a new throne for the living room - ditched the worn out recliner. Not very suptle, true.

Digging into my 440

Been working on my 440 trying to get it running right with the flatback carb. I also had to remove the top of the gas tank because the gasket was leaking. P&C look amazing through the exhaust port.

When going to reinstall the carb I think I found my problem. The gasket didn't cover the pulse port all the way. So I made a new gasket that is bigger.

Working on concrete is pretty tough going, should we send you a bench?

It's always a nice thing to see a bright and shiny piston through those ports.

I'm gonna have a bench soon. I've been putting it off because I don't want to have to buy the materials to build it.

Mc 797 making some noise. Not the Ebay saw (obviously) but a very recent acquisition all the same. This saw clearly has some nads. I would pass up an 090 everytime for one of these. That's a Homelite Cannon bar, but it didn't take much to make it fit.

 Saw didn't even break a sweat. I bet you did after a few cuts. The sound and the power coupled with its innate good looks is why I would like to have a 797. Ron
