$153.50 bought it. Either the price of these
geardrives are declining or people are starting
to figure him out.

I bought a couple things from Saw King, and I haven't gotten screwed yet. Nothing is better than it looks though. Like I promised, I stayed out of this one.

The big Mac B&C I got from him is really nice though. Looks good on my SP125. It came with a brand new NOS Mac stamped .404 chain. The chain is so nice that I am afraid to cut with it, lol.

Bought it for $60 plus shipping.

I did that, it's about .100 to .120, can't quite get the calipers in there but close. Do you know if it's metal or something that would seal better? I only asked for measurements so I would not over stress the casting because once the carb are bolts a down it's pretty stiff up there.

I just checked a 10-10 and the washer you are asking about isn't metal. Its looks to be plastic because I think rubber wouldn't be strong enough. I didn't take the saw apart, I just poked at it with a o-ring pick and it is soft like plastic

By the way, I got that 890. I put a bid in yesterday and thought for sure that it wouldn't stand, but I was surprised when I got the email saying I won. I guess its alright, I'm the one that just sold that 10-10 for $153 and now I listed a PM700. Those two saws are paying for the 890. I've already got the bar and chain for it.

I've had no trouble with SK in the past. Bad luck, Lee. It's a buyer's market this time of year. I've noticed this, wait until February and prices will skyrocket again only to collapse in late July.

That SP made my day, Ambull.

Nice bar for 60 bucks! Especially with the NOS chain. The saw isn't bad either. :D

Ambull, I noticed your 125 and 101B/125 count. Give me the skinny on the performance I can expect of a 101B over a 125C. I have a 50 over 101B/125 waiting reassembly with new bearings and the 125 adjustable jets carb. I have a 101B of unknown over bore on the way as well as a sloper kart intake. Sooooooo I am very curious as to what I might expect. I assume I should have little difficulty with an 8 pin .404 on a 32" bar. Thanks, Ron

Thank you for checking/confirming

The 125C has good compression, but it is detuned a lot compared to the 101B. It does not rev as high, and the torque starts dropping off much earlier. I have one 101B that is freshly overbored .050 over, and it is quite difficult to start. Only possible way is to drop start it. It has ridiculous gobs of power. The other 101B I can ground start it, but it is not easy either. It also cuts very fast, I have put a video of this one below. I believe it has the stock bore.

The last 101B I have has lost compression, so I need to operate. Winter project.

I have a big tree down on the property, so I will do some comparisons this weekend. I promise videos of all three.

BTW I think you should use the sloper intake with the BDC carb on the freshly overbored 101B. I can't even imagine what the top end is going to do on that saw. My guess is that setup will honestly keep up with hot saws, as you are probably approaching 20HP!!!!!!!!

1-61? Is it worth 50 bucks?

I would say yes, if it is something that you want. Not an expert on the front tank saws, but most don't have full wraps, and I believe most are LH start, so this one has some nice qualities. Also, the muffler looks to be in good shape. And that one is a gear drive, which is much more sought after.

I haven't been able to find any .050 rings. Any source you know? Compression was 196 psi when disassembled due to the rod binding on the crank so worse come to worse the old rings will stay. Ron

Check out Ozflea's video at post #49 for such a set up in action: http://www.arboristsite.com/chainsaw/172208-4.htm Ron

I bought an .030 over piston off Ebay, and was going to use it on my crippled 101B. At the time there were all sorts of overbore pistons and rings. I thing they will come back if you keep watching. I have an extra block and crank as well.
