I feel as though I have not been contributing much lately, very busy at work, etc.

Anyway, here is an old photo just to stay connected.

That is the SP105 from Belgian cutting the maple trunk next to my house and wood pile last spring.

Now that's an old ad......Get rich falling timber? LMAO!

Thanks for sharing, cool ad - Sam

I wish my SP-81 was as new as the one in the ad. Would like to have the other three Macs too! My SP-81 came to me with a 28" version of the Super Pro roller nose bar that's on the SP-60 in the ad. Not as nice anymore, but does still have a good amount of paint on it. That bar's on my PM700 for now. Got a 32" sprocket tip on the SP-81. I need to get some pics up here...

Well here's a few...

Got some kind of nasty 'summer cold'. Called in sick while on my way to work and turned the car around. Wasn't gonna make the drive, and would be no good to anybody there anyways. Got back home and shot a few quick picss of some Macs. That damn near killed me. They're a lot heavier when you're running a fever. Took the pics on the hood of my 1971 IHC 1210 3/4-ton 4WD 4-door pickup (Crummy...LOL). I'm sure Jeff will appreciate the IHC content. White '67 Scout 800 and orange '74 Scout II just visible in the background. Blanket on the dashpad of the '71 pickup to keep it from cracking...

SP-81 and PM700.

100_3752.jpg

PM700 wearing the 28" Super Pro RN bar that came to me with the SP-81. The white 'puff' near the end of the Super Pro bar is a dandylion (sp?) seed floating in front of the bar when the pic was taken. It took about 20 laps around me while I was doing my thing...

100_3755.jpg

100_3753.jpg

SP-81 wearing the 32" Windsor ST sprocket tip bar that came to me with the PM700. Switched them out, as it just made more sense that way...

100_3756.jpg

Closer shot of the Super Pro RN bar. It needs a bit of cleanup and dressing, but still has a lot of life left in it. I'm going to put a 24" sprocket tip on the PM700, and put the RN bar aside for some rehab. After that, it will just come out for 'special occaisions' such as GTG's...

A few more McPics...

McCulloch 550 and 650 together on the hood of the IHC pickup.

100_3757.jpg

100_3763.jpg

McCulloch 550 I got from Mark H. 6.04ci/99cc. Wearing a 24" hardnose bar and a loop of .404. Strong runner now that I swapped in a Tillotson HL63. Swapped a HD type 'can' muffler from a parts saw I got. Had a 'stack' type muffler when I got it from Mark. Full-wrap handlebar. I was having some troubles with the primer-type 'flatback' McCulloch carb it was wearing. That's the ONLY primer-'flatback' I ever had with a working primer though. That carb now sits on the shelf....waiting.

100_3764.jpg

100_3765.jpg

McCulloch 650 Gear Drive. 5.3ci/87cc. Same engine as a 300 direct drive (has both '300' and '650' stamped on block). "Light Duty" three-screw can type muffler. Came to me with a nice 26" McCulloch hardnose bar and a loop of 1/2" chipper. The son of the original owner told me that his dad had 'traded in' the original 36" bar/chain for the 26" B/C because it's more "handy"...

Right now it's wearing the 30" Oregon Duo-Tronic hardnose bar (Compatible with both McCulloch/Homelite large frame saws) that Cliff sent me with my Homelite 1130G. This 650 is also a strong runner now that I swapped in a rebuilt HL63. Full-wrap handlebar. Will probably put the 26" bar back on it for ripping and blocking. I'll be bucking up a HUGE oak sometime in the next few weeks.

Does anyone know the part # for the thick rings on a standard bore super 797? also crank seal & bearing #s would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

1969 IPL.
These part numbers are for model 600130, serial numbers prefixed 15 & A14

Rings #69305

Flywheel side, Shows two seals #57897 & 57898,

Same Bearings both sides #66016

Clutch side seal. #104432

Interesting. The S-797 used the same rings as a CP125S. #69305. An earlier CP125 (no 'S') used the same rings as a non-super 797. #47865. An SP125 or SP125C used yet another set of rings. #85608. Got those numbers from the McCulloch "Cylinders, Piston Assemblies, and Ring Sets" catalog. What's even more interesting, is that those catalogs list the S-797 on the index page......................yet DO NOT list that saw anywhere in the charts. Same omission in the 1968, 1973, 1979, and 1982 catalogs. They ONLY list the non-super 797's and all the 125's. Strange...

Nice SP125 score Cliff! I still have that 795 bracket and handlebar to send you. Been super busy. Do you want to just trade brackets, or trade brackets and handlebars? I think your handlebar is in better shape than mine. Still interested in the S-250. Delayed again however...

Funny you mention the CP125, I have a crank out of one sitting beside the 797 chrank, they are the same. my CP crank has some issues though. .

Thanks for the #s Mr. Bow Saw.

Thanks Aaron,
I was asking another member here about some saw parts and he offered
a 795 handle and bracket with the parts deal. So I think I will be set with this
one.

BTW, The S-250 has The HL carb in it, That should make worth a little more.

I was hoping it would have an HL. That would save me the trouble of swapping one in. Sent you a PM.

Spent my evening cleaning up the bench. This meant putting the long delayed due to apathy Power Mac 6 back together. I've been cleaning up parts and gathering needed parts for quite a while. It's got plenty of spark and compression, and a carb kit and new fuel line, so hope it runs tomorrow.

Thanks to 8433jeff for the fuel line assembly and the muffler.
