What happend to shop monkey?

My guess is a propensity for clothes-less women in the WTF thread. They would only delete the offending posts, not the whole works. He'd been warned by many more than me to go easy on them pics, much as I hate to discourage such behavior, and then have to see some of the "snackeys" that are posted. Hopefully he will be back, he did seem eager about the hobby.

Girls been selling OPE for a long time. We overlook that here in the McCulloch thread, because we have beavers as spokespersons.

Ambull, thanks for posting the videos. Maybe one day I'll figure out how and return the favor. My wife says her camera will do video but who knows how muchless how to post a video- I am lucky to post a picture. Ron

Before I head to the beg for manuals, anybody have a shot of the wires on a Mini Mac 110? Doesnt seem to have spark turning it over with the electric impact. I think maybe I shoulda paid more attention to where the wires went, instead of puttin all the bolts back into the right place :D

Perhaps tomorrow I can snap a photo of the back of my truck, several new acquisitions this week including a 3-25 with 30" Goose bar, SP81 with good compression, PM60 with so so compression, and a 10-10 with no compression and about 1/2 the parts missing, should make a good donor in any case. I also added a 20" hard nose bar & chain for the 10/600 Series and a 650 Pioneer power head with only a few parts missing.

I'll be hanging around NE Indiana and Northern OH for the next week or so, anyone in the area please feel free to give a shout and maybe I can arrange to swing by one day.

Mark

P.S. Forgot about one more in there, Titan 50 with good spark but missing a top cover, I need the ignition for my Titan 57 that is laid up at home. Who knows, if I can find another igniton for the 57 and a top cover for the 50, I may add them both to the non-Mac McCulloch collection.

When and how did he get sent to camp? The last post I saw of his was a harmless one in the 5-word thread on 9/17. That post is still there.
What'd I miss? I hate seeing guys go to camp, unless they are total trolls and/or spammers. Kyle was immature and irritating at times, but I didn't think he needed to go to camp. I even felt he was worth taking the time to bring him 'round back to the woodshed from time to time, in a effort to get him steered right...:(

I think he went too far in the WTF thread.

As was already stated, he once again went too far in the WTF thread. I gave him a less than subtle hint after he posted the pic that he should remove it but I guess it was a wasted effort. Oh well, maybe this will be a learning moment for him.

OK here goes....

Things did not come out exactly as planned. Not a fair test, because the stock SP125 is running too rich, and it is not adjustable. It was 4 stroking most of the way through the cut. Need to figure out what to do about a carb..... But anyways, even if it is tuned right, it is not keeping up with the 101B's.

Anyways, the wood was hard 20" Ash.

First up was the SP125 stock, running a 32" bar semi skip full chisel .404. Took almost twice as long as the others.

Next was the stock bore 101B. This saw was really impressive, and I think that it won by 1/2 second or so. It has a GEM muffler, which may give it an edge.

Next was the .050 over 101B. I actually richened up the carb, as I took a test cut and it was too lean. A good runner none the less.

Last as a check I ran my favorite work saw. My dual port muffler 395XP. This thing has a 28" bar 3/8 full comp chisel. I brag about this saw to anybody who will listen, lol....

Nice collection of 125s!! Watching the 101s really makes me think I need one LOL.

Actually Ron it is just as easy to do a vid as it is a photo. Create a photobucket account and upload your videos to that. They give you the link and the URL code to paste into your post. Unfortunately I have to use the lowest resolution setting on the videos, or else the files take forever to upload.

Back on topic, I can say for sure that there is a big difference between a stock SP125C and a 101B. Running those two saws makes me wonder why I mess with anything else.

Fellas, I took a look into that ole 2-10g tonight and surprisingly the only thing that looked really bad was the fuel tank. The fuel line is in good shape and the carb looks clean as a pin. What would be the best way to clean the fuel tank cause the stuff in the bottom is tough?

Try using your favorite cleaner or degreaser and dump about 100 BB's into the tank. Put the lid on and then shake. That works pretty good for me

Fuel tank cleaning - 10 Series McCulloch

The tank top comes off pretty easily giving you good access to clean the insides. I had very good success using one of the purple cleaners and a tooth brush; worked much better than any petroleum based solvents I tried. There are some photo's further back in this thread.

You can still get the metering diaphragms from discount marine. You need to have the part number though. If no one else has put the part number up before I get home I will pull one from my ipls for you.

US Mail was good to me today. Ron

Sp60 pm60

Yesterday my NOS SP60 cylinder arrived. I believe it is actually a PM60 as it has the casting for directly mounting the handle bar. Before I take this up with the seller could someone with an IPL verify for me that the parts are different? Also if any one needs a PM60 cylinder let me know as I have neither a SP60 nor a PM60. Thanks, Ron

If it is a sp60 cylinder it will have the nipple below the intake port for the impulse line.
