me too, i'm always wondering...could this saw run a little better if i had just got the points a couple thousandths closer to ideal. its never a problem to get it set where the saw runs good, but that sweet spot is tough to find sometimes

how critical is the setting?

I hope this is a case where close enough is indeed close enough, or there is a method to control the adjustment a bit better...

what they said. inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks to Steve and 610 and whoever else worked their magic to make the images appear on the screen.

That is exactly why there are no Macs. I started up the 10-10 and the 1-63 and they made me put them back on the truck!

I kept looking for your MACs as well. But I understand all too well that it is difficult to take pictures of yourself working. I do have a suggestion for you - next time borrow one of Mark's 125s. They'll all stop work and watch you despite the ring in their ears. Ron

I've got three different shape extra long carbide burrs coming in from McMaster-Carr... they should be here soon. The purchase should be worth it, and make it possible for me to get the lower transfers to resemble the uppers much better than they are right now...

Tomorrow, I'm going to move some crap out to the little shed, and then work on cleaning up the flywheel and other parts for the engine.

I'm looking forward to those burrs... they will help a lot.

Mark, I'll be sure to holler when I have room for a cylinder or two.

Another thing to get done is that darn little trimmer... gotta get that little 'surprise' to the guy that deserves it... I think he'll be stunned at the results of porting and muff modding a two smoker, even one that's from the times before the EPA went ape ####.

They were wearing ear protection and STILL whined about the 1-63 and 10-10? I'd have told them to take a pair of their lace panties and stuff 'em in their ears for additional protection. You weren't even running a saw with a stack muffler.....

I did get the yellow and black flags that were on e-bay a few weeks ago, haven't found the right place to put them yet but when I do I will post some photo's.

The McCulloch Kart banner is nice, but I think I am running out of display space...

I haven't seen it yet, but I think Ray's 1-63 may be fit with the stack?

They're still pansies for whining and making Ray put his Macs away. Guys used to run old Clinton saws without ear protection for Pete's sake.....:yoyo:

Be glad they weren't at the last GTG when we had 4 (or maybe 5, I'm getting old) Zips running at the same time during our Zip Off. :hmm3grin2orange:

Oops, that wasn't McCulloch related. Sorry, Emperor. :msp_sad:
