My day was similar...

LMAO it bolted right on. It's a walbro carb from an earlier mini mac. It was actually really easy to work on and the carb gaskets were dirt cheap too. Started right up........magical!:hmm3grin2orange:

LMAO it wired right up. Some (150ft) det cord, stuffed a small booster in the fuel tank, another in the oil tank. It was real easy to wire the delays, and ANFO is real cheap with the farmers not in the fields due to all the rain. Blew it right up...........magical!:clap::rock::msp_tongue:

Had the saw not started we would have an identical days today!

paccity - (you're Fraser, right?) I have a pile of the filters, but the wire frame and clips that hold them in are harder to come by. PM me with an address and I can send you one NOS filter element.

The 35's have a very unique sound, slow to rev up and slow to wind down again.

There is another recent thread out there with a number of photo's of interesting attachments for the "lunch box" saws.

Ed - I recommend you get rid of that saw right away in order to prevent a whole new outbreak of a different strain of CAD. PM me if you need an address for proper housing...

Fixed this eager beaver today. Got the saw from psuiewalsh with idle problems. Took out the Zama carb and put in a Walbro that I rebuilt (walbro carb compliments of joeymt33 as well as the brake handle). Fired right up and idles nice. Ran a file over the chain and now im going to park this saw on the shelf as another completed fix. Its on to the carb swap for the 2-10, now its really getting fun.\

Gee that saw gives me a hard on

The fuel tank looks like it has the 'high' top, which could make it a 6-10 (70cc). Even if it's "only" a 54cc 2-10, 3-10, 4-10, 5-10, or 10-10......it's still a great saw to have.

I found a few saws at the scrap, spent $15 and already have one of the 10-10's running.

The big one lit up my eyes but it is in really bad shape, I think the block will be the only thing salvaged as it is free and the P&C look clean.

Parts are so interchangeable on that model of saw that it could be anything in that line. I have a 700 that looks just like my 10-10 saws and my 55. You can even change them over to right start, left start, or both.

I did pick up a few parts to pretty up the CP70. First is the starter badge, the one I had before was 90% paint free, this one has a little yellow still on the lettering. The later pic shows the old one in front of the new one which is on the saw. Now I just need one of those really aggressive dawgs on it.

this guy followed me home today. It does everything it is supposed to even has documentation. Not sure what the compression is supposed to be but it starts right up. The bar is toast. there is a chunk missing and it is washed out. Anyone have a 24" bar? Looks like 404 in .063??
