Looks like 1-50 to me. I see a head gasket, so should be the real deal.
sorry for getting back late but some work had to be done. like where herose circled wipe the oil off and the rest of the number will show. i can make out a 50 so like every one else answered and by what mine looks like it's prob an1-50.

I cleaned the junk away and there is a faint 1-50. The "1" is about twice as large as the "50", and the "50" is just above "60" with some XX stamped over the "60". I can read "?-50" on the top cover, and comparing all the pics I've seen (I'm always a little cautious using Acres site) it is in fact a 1-50. I really don't have the time or money to invest in a proper rebuild of this thing and wouldn't ever get to use it if I did.
With spark and good compression is this a desirable or collectible saw? Keep in mind I understand value is relative and it's worth what someone is willing to pay. I'm just trying to get a feel for these older saws and what to look for when I see one. I'm a little slow, but I'll start to figure it out eventually.
Thanks for all the help.
I still don't know how he saw that in the picture...
