John, the chainsaw groupie here. It was a great day in Minden and I have thousands and thousands of vids and stills, and why wouldn't I? Everyone had fun.
Left to right is Gaston Dupriere, Dion Lane, Daniel Boulangier, the pit man and Donald Lambert
John

Here's Dion Lane and his father from New Zealand. Looks pretty fast to me. They said to say hi to Dennis Cahoon, so somebody could pass that on if Dennis the trouble maker isn't reading.
John

Well chainsaw nerds and woodticks, that's all the fun for tonight, I have to go to bed, it's been a long day. It's hard to get good help over the net, isn't it?

Men's bowsaw. If I was any kind of reporter I would have all the facts, but hey, I'm just a groupie, so give me a break.
John

Gaston run is a new world record 3.37 seconds to be his old record of 3.59 seconds.
Nblogger cut a 4.09 seconds with the 7900 good enough for 5th,which is very good considering it has no head on it ,stock piston ,stock carb mount and not much time playing with it and that was his first run with the saw. All the other sawsfrom 1-4 and 6th were 272 husky's with the wide shirt race piston

Thanks for putting up the pics and vids John, nice work!

BTW, I see that you still have a great admiration for Danny. :D

Ed, you cannot make a 7900 fast. I have an e-mail from a guy who built one, to prove it! LOL!

Russ

Yes I can make a 7900 fast when I get time just put the wide skirt piston in it ,open up the ports and put a head on it and then it will be there,
of the 272's there the newest one would be 6 years old so they are working at there best , that 7900 is less than 2 weeks old has more to come , Nblogger took it with him and will make a few runs with it this week for next weekend, and if anyone else thinks they have a fast 7900 that is good but being it out so we can see it go to

Ed,

How much + shipping for an EHP7900? Do you sell "powerhead only" or do you have to sell with a bar? I`ve got large Husky mount bars coming out my ears.

Russ

Hi Joker's , a 7900 EHP powerhead is $750 usa money plus shipping which is normally under $38 to $40 bucks depending on where you live, I have 7 powerheads here with 2 of them already ported and tried, they cut like hell and run great

Hey Gypo didyou get burned, like sort of look like i am well done but forgot to flip over to do the other side
