I have no doubts it would make a 361 put it's chain btw it's legs. The one I sold Mopar ran pretty strong stock.
Nice saw Brad.

Uh Oh, now you went and done it!
BTW, you had to make up a 70DL chain didn't you . LOL
Maybe a 3400 would had been good for the 50cc saw shootout???:hmm3grin2orange:
I don't think you could make it compete with either the 5100 or 346. It would be WAY heavier too.
In 18" to 20" wood, i bet it would hold its own. But your right, it is HEAVY!!
somebody needs to have a GTG smack dab in the middle of the country
I'm in, pretty sure Andyshine is too

Brad,
You might be surprised!
The 3400 starts with a 6cc advantage and altho' the chain speed is slower it has gobs of torque.
I'd say that properly "tuned" and with a correctly matched chain the cut times would becloser than a lot of folks think!
Mike
I've got news for you buys. The 4000 beat a good running stock 361 The best time we got with the 361 was 9.1 sec and the 4000 cut a 8.5. Both saws were wearing 20" bars and good Stihl RSC chains.
Better yet, my 346 cut even a little faster than the 4000
Then to top it off the, the ported 7900 cut a 6.1, and Andyshines well broke in EHP 7900 cut a 5.9. At least I know this 7900 in the ball park.
what size wood? Video's? Dont leave us hanging.

You darned scoundrels should be ashamed for having all that fun without me!!!
Sorry Mike. It was just a quick little impromptu thing. They didn't get here until about 8:00 and we barely got done before dark.
I hope the pile of empty bottles is at least as big as the pile of sawdust
