Stihl an ugly color for a saw :buttkick:

I gotta agree. That color on a saw makes me uneasy.

Do take it to the dealer to get the carb set first!:notrolls2: :sucks:

So Ben, How do you really feel?

BTW: Do you like fish?

so one really cool thing about chainsaws is we could ship them back and forth to find out.

we agree on some chain spec, agree on a bar length adn type of wood, and i could tweak on my saw for a bit, then ship it to you for testing.

you would have to adjust jetting as I live a little higher then you.

Answer the question..

HOW WOULD YOU TUNE IT, or how would the power be without the limiter?

I thought it was put out shut up:monkey:

Dr... I think you're done here. At this point, even if you concede that even tho you do know something about 2 stroke engines as they apply to watercraft or things that run on snow, but are totally lost when it comes to chainsaws, you've lost their (the ones that DO know about chainsaws) respect. They're talking amongst themselves about FISHING if you haven't noticed. There's yer sign. Time to take your leave before it really gets ugly. If you want your saw to run, send it to dneiger on this forum. He will do you right and give you a saw that runs well, that is if you haven't already messed it up.

good luck in your future endeavors,
Ian

Ian 0 Alcohol 2... It's been a rough season for Ian folks... and fishing is out of the question.

I'd almost say yea, but I gotta interject here. That peak power thing isn't really the case. Matter of fact, that's why I've been so let down with the newer saws. They all scream at top end, but dead everywhere else in between. As soon as you slow them down a bit they are ALL dogs. If they could find a way to improve this, I think I'd be buying one of those saws in a second dude... :chainsaw:

You wouldn't say this about an 066 vs. an 056 Mag. Both are more or less equivalent (within their respective eras,) but I'll pass up the 056 every time for my 066. Saying the 056 has more 'grunt' sounds nice, but the reality of it is the 066 is a modern saw that won't break you down at the end of the day like an 056. And it is every bit as strong, if not stronger, than an 056.
