I have a 1955 mcculloch model 73 that is a real pig to start. It tends to run wide open if I can get it started but once its hot it is impossible. It has 150 lbs compression lots of spark and fuel is questionable as once it gets ornery nothing seems to help IE priming and or shutting fuel off nothing helps. It has been a long time problem over the years but has gotten worse. This was my dads saw from new and I would kind of like to get it running more for fun than the need to cut wood. Anyone REALLY familiar with these old saws or any direction would help. Thanks in advance.
