A good friend of mine, long time feller turned Real estate Broker, wants to race chainsaws,,,,,, or should say we are going to compare them.

While mentioning that I would toss my new 361 and 660 in the truck to let him run, he mentioned racing as he has a P-50 and a P-60 (tells how long he has been the the real estate business)

Just wondering what to expect, I'm looking forward to it as I have not ran either, and not sure my friend has ran a Stihl ?

If his saws are set up correctly, you will want to sell your Stihl's! HAHAHAHA

Seriously, the P-50 won't be a fair match to the 361 - it has over 1 cube on it.

The P-60 is a good 6 cube saw. She will shake, rattle and roll! You are in for a treat, getting to run some old school muscle saws!

Your thinking I will want to trade for them?

We will be shoeing his horses this afternoon, and will run saws after that, got the 361 set up with 20" and of new RS chain, as that is the saw I think he needs in his line-up, I just hope he gets a good feel for what he would be buying,,,, The ranch is almost all Ponderosa Pine, (some huge) and I know he will want to "test" saws on a well seasoned log to give the reed-valve engines a little more advantage, but the 660 will sport 28" of sharp chisel, set at .027 DG (.375X8 drive) , don't know if it will beat a P-60, but fairly sure it will toss chips further!

too bad I am a bit of a pioneer fan myself My grandpa owned a p44 and it was passed down to me eventually and it was a great saw! but the new ones will probably outcut most of the older ones but who knows? some of those older saws were strong runners!
