looks like every car every cop/kgb drove in every spy movie ever set in russia.

and i wondered why they could never catch up with 007's aston martin in 'the living daylights'.:dizzy:

you folks don't happen to import them to nz do you? you should, looks like a fine ride.:greenchainsaw:

someone tried many years ago. NZ has hills. Lada's dont like hills (unless they start at the top)

LOL, reminds me of a pinto or chevette.........although they can be seen at dragstrips with 500ci+ race motors sticking out da hood.:dizzy: :dizzy:

watch what you say to stevekiwi.
some of our worst cars are still being sold, in name only, to aussies. i assume nz gets stuck with them too!

e.g. fiesta, falcon

(he could be driving a modern chevette)

the australian falcon is an aussie produced car... and is known as one of the better cars on the road

i hate them. but they are up there with executive mercs jags bmws so i have to give them credit.

other than the falcon, all the other stuff of theirs belong in the tip, clean filter or not.

not knocking a modern falcon, the old u.s. ones were light and moddable and quick but still not good (what american car really was good back then, though?).

that nicely hidden shot deserves rep but it won't let me hit you yet!

Isn't the current production Pontiac GTO based on an Australian model?

Maaannnn!!!!! Talk about a run-on thread. You fellers can take an air filter thread a LOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG way can't you?!!!? :jawdrop:

Ha ha. When a Stihl cheerleader thinks you're questioning the SCC (Society of Chainsaw Cultists), the thread is guaranteed to go 100 pages.

talkin bout 'merican vesions.
the falcon was around back in the 1960s. the faimont held on till around 1980i think. very different cars from the aussise versions i know of.
the fairmont was a medium sized square box shaped atrocity as i remember it.
it reminded me a little of the lada:) . the falcon was a cool little car for the 60s but as i said.... what car really was 'good' back then in america?:dizzy:

ever seen an american fiesta? i believe that was in the late 70s early 80s......
uhhhggggllllyyy.

btw, aussie fords with inline 6 cyls are kinda neat. good part of our fords are re-badged mazdas over here. mostly 4cyls or v6.

Have put about 15 tanks through my 361 and have no air filter issues. It's been back to the dealer once, upon their request for free (no charge). They like to tweak the jets, etc., after about 6 tanks or so to optimize engine performance post-break-in period.
It's been a fantastic saw for me so far. Running a 20" bar and RSC stihl chain.
Cutting mostly soft maple, but also some black cherry, ash, white and yellow birch, ironwood, and apple. :greenchainsaw:
