If using a dedicated mulching unit, opinions on what would be the estimated daily average output in acres per day? for:
Mostly juniper, some ponderosa, all under 8' tall and 4" diameter- ave. 600 trees per acre.

thats tough to say...there are a lot of variables that affect production...ground conditions, density of the site, time of year.....I've done as little as a half an acre up to 3 acres in a day...but thats not with a dedicated unit.

A lot of variables in a dedicated units capability also. There is a huge size and horse power range.
And a lot of variables in operator capability.

I'll have to agree with everybody else. Too many variables.
I also don't know much about dedicated carriers. But I will say that mulchers seem to like the small junipers we have here, and they go fairly quick, especially on the 4" trees. Don't know what kind of terrain you're in but where it's steep it slows down, where it's flat you can usually make some good ground in a day.
All my experience is with a 105 horse ASV, so take it for what it's worth.
