Put a 16" with RSC on it. Like a hot knife in butter, through Cedarpine. I have some Black Oak around here, will try some later.

You did good!!! I would try to find another saw to beat around with since that one is in such great cond....I dont use mine much anymore for that reason,,just run once in awhile to get the webs out....Hard to find one that looks that good.....

I bet the origional owner will be a bit upset when he remembers and goes to pick up his saw! How does that work I wonder?

I'm sure the owner was called a dozen times and the saw has been sitting there for a long time. You can't believe how many people will OK a repair job, but when it comes time to actually PAY for it, they don't come around any more!!

I just sold two really nice 238s this year. One was a super, the other just a std and I can tell you that I didn't let them go that cheap!!

The super really was mint and I'll no doubt regret selling it some day.

it id the time of the 028 everyone seems to be gettin one here lately. i got mine a while back and like it. its a decent saw but i have to get his bigger brother i think ive got a line on a 038 mag built the same year and everything. congrats on the good find and great deal to go with it!
id run it just try not to beat it up. keep that saw by hte splitter in its purty case for when something needs trimmed up. youll find a good use for it some how.
