Great, looking forward to see yours. I'm going to fool with the muffler on my 5000 plus. I'm going to pull the baffle and maybe open the oulet alittle.

Here is the insert I made from a pipe and spacer from muffler.

Here is how I put it together. Removed the baffle. Can put the deflector back on for work. Have to open it some.

To get the exhaust out quicker. Saws main purpose is for racing. My 357 EHP, 260 TW and TW 675 Solo all have them but they go all the way to the cyl. This was my variation on a theme.

5000 plus

Well here's my 5000 plus. The guy I got it from said it sat for 20 years with fuel in it, got it all cleaned up and it runs fast and smooth. Bought a 500 off of ebay a while back, Just pulled off the cylinder and found what has to be a 5000 closed port top end. I don't think the 500 came with a closed port unless it was a formula 500 ?.

Nice looking saw. Real nice bonus with the 500 having the closed port.
