Counting down......

Ok boys, ya'll can show up around 8 or 9am but let me know so we don't start without ya. I will be there pretty darn early trying to figure out how I can set the logs up to cut.:dizzy:

If anyone would like to take home some firewood let me know to bring more wood.

And being a FF, I can't provide beer at my own dept. but ya'll can drink like fish if you would like. Bring your own beer if needed.

It's cast in stone, I can't get off but I hope yall have a great time!

I have helped a few guys with directions but if anyone else has a question or needs a phone number, pm me. I doubt I will have a chance to get on here tomorrow or Sat morning before the gtg. We are looking for rain all day Sat. but hopefully I will have enough room in the bays to have it inside.

XJWoody is familiar with this area, so I wll ask him if he would help with any questions here.

See ya'll there!:chainsaw:

We had some good storms blow thru here last night. According to the weather report we were watching a rotating cell was just a mile from us. Luckily no damage, just rain. Many folks tho weren't so lucky.

What's our status for Sat. The storms were mainly to the north but you may be on call covering other departments .

Hope all is well.

Ents - Where?

We had three of those cells pass within a mile or two of us last night... on their way to move the Fed Ex planes off the GSO tarmac... LOL.

Last news i've heard is that there may be some more thunderstorms this afternoon, but tomorrow (Saturday) is due to be partly sunny & 80° ish... should be a nice day.

The Sandhills are famous for late afternoon thunderstorms, but they typically blow through pretty quickly.

268 & 601 Dobson -- No touch down, just doppler indicated rotation. We're sitting here watching the radar and listening to the news person telling people to take shelter. Mary & I looked at each other and just shrugged our shoulders. We live in one of those tornado magnets and might just as well have gone outside and yelled "TAKE ME". Alls well for now.

XJ,

Is the fire house south of the country club and north of Ole Wire Rd.??? Is Old Wire Rd. a good short cut (from 74)? From the satellite images it looks like its residential/rural and turns into a dirt rd.

Thanks,

Thanks,

It is a good short cut... Old Wire Road is paved all the way from Laurel Hill through to 15-501. Turning left -North- onto 15-501, the firehouse will be on your left, a few miles up the road.
