Well im holding on to the 42cc right now, I work on 2 and 4 cycles (I rebuild motorcycles and dirt bikes)

Check out my user name on youtube.

Im not new to engines in the least and do full carb rebuilds for side work on a lot of different engines.

I also know im not gonna play with a new chainsaw which has faulty electrical which is why the 50cc is gone and returned... That thing was crap

I think much of my frustration with poulan was blammed on that 50cc.

The 42cc I just spent the last hour or so since my first morning post tunning and its running good. Its still apain in the butt to cold start.

Just sharppened the chain and its running way better then before. Still feels cheap and im not liking it... but as this one at least works I think im gonna hold onto this as a back up. I already ordered the echo last night so ill compair the 2 when I get the echo in... if its at least mildly keeping up with it... ill hold it, if its still crap in comparison ... well then its going back too.

That was a nice pleasant response, I hope you stick around a while, working on and using saws can be fun and rewarding.

Do take into consideration small two smokers are a bit finicky, especially with the lean tuning do to EPA regulations, and antiquated OPE technology. The chances are your new saw will be set lean and may need a bit of fine tuning. With the jets having limiter caps, this can pose a problem, and is where a good dealer normally steps in. Saw sales over the internet can reduce initial cost, but to many it causes an unpleasant customer experience.

If you have any issues with you're Echo these two videos may help you out.

You guys I can already see are incredibly knowledgeable, I do not piss away good info in the least bit... thats why im here.

Thank you for those videos too!

Okay the echo came in today... and guess what? Started freaking perfect on its first run in 4 pulls... seriously this makes the poulan even worst in my book in a comparison perspective.

This thing looks and feels so much better made... but the truth will tell tomorrow after a full day of hacking.

Yep the echo did just fine, significantly better then that 50cc poulan and started nearly first pull ever time... no head ake and easy cutting.

Got a lot of work done in a short amount of time but owe Grenock on this forum a huge thank you for comming on over and helping me cut and clear the heavy stuff... that stihl he has was a beast... not even comparable. ..lol

Nice choice on the Echo. Great saws, they are very dependable. Might not be the strongest or fastest saws but they have a good work ethic. Make sure you pull the limiters on the carb though. They are usually set on the lean side and the limited coil can make it sound rich.
