I like to keep a 24" on one saw for bucking, but other than that I find the 20" bar to be the most useful size. Longer than that and it can get more difficult to pull it from the cut when you are in an awkward position, and in tight spaces the longer bars are often cutting something beyond your log.

Shorter than 20" just makes me reach too much. My brother has a 28" if I need it, but it is rare I would need it.

My upstate property gets logged, so none of the trees get too big, I usually just harvest the blow downs for firewood (mostly Ash & Cherry).

I can't wait to get my 064 back from Mastermind. I got a sweet deal on a Sugihara lightweight 32" that should feel good on that saw!

For the big wood I have a 6' roller tip for my newly acquired 797 Mac (123cc)!

You guys make my back hurt thinking of using a 20" on a 70cc saw.

Dex was kind enough to send me a 20'' sugi and a 18'' Carlton for the ported 395 I bought from him. I think it is the perfect blend of "performance overkill" for my firewood duties and Im 6'6''. I still have never mounted that beautiful 32'' Tsumara bar I got from you on it.

What size bar do you like to run, and how tall are you? To tell you the truth I can't wait till I get the 046 so I can put the 24" bar on it and return my 044 to 20"! I'm 6'1", and the 20" let's me reach whatever I want.

I like a 28-34" lightweight bars best. I have a 16" on the 550 for now. I want to go to a 20" on it.
