Greetings everyone. This is a terrific website full of useful information.
A little about myself. This past winter I installed a woodstove in our family room and because of it, we very sparingly had to turn the heat on in the house. We burned about 3 cords this past winter. I have plenty of rounds in the backyard ready to split. By hand of course. Not sure what next winter will bring but this winter was very mild. I may burn 5-6 cords.
I have a husky rancher 55 that probably has about 12-15 hours of work on it and looking to get a second chainsaw. Maybe a Stihl.
My question to you folks is.... Could someone explain some of the terminology such as pitch and compression regarding chainsaws. I'm eager to learn as much as possible when it comes to operating and maintaining my chainsaw.
Thank you,
Tom
