I thought the same thing when I went to post them, but they were the only ones I had. I will try to do better next time getting more pictures of everyone (I missed Al, Chris, etc.) so I have several to choose from. Is this one from last year better?

Great GTG. Meeting new friends, and reconnecting with old ones.

Mark and I found this in one of our goodie bags. Speak up if you're missing ear protection. (No pun intended.)

I have a confession to make:(:( I put those ear muffs in that bag. They belong to the Dad of my two friends in Findlay, the guys that came last year. That bag was supposed to be mine, and then I handed it to someone else, lol.

So I recently picked up some non running machines for scrap price off fee bay... Amongst the carnage, was this Poulan... I can make out 35 on the side decal, and I assume there are a couple more numbers to follow where the sticker got mangled. I don't see anyplace else the saw is labeled as such. The tag down by the rear grip lists it as a Poulan/Weed Eater. None of the numbers on the Acres site work with 35** under Poulan/Weed Eater... There is a 3500 in the Poulan Electrolux section that looks right...

Mechanic I picked it up from at the yard service place told me they hadn't fixed it as the starter dogs we trashed and he couldn't find any. Looking through a number of IPL's it sure looks like the 3500, and so I ordered a couple starter dogs for that... We'll see if they fit when they come...

So, anyone know if there is a way to put a positive ID on this minus the decal? The serial number decal is in tact, and tells me its a Type III along with the SN and some additional numbers, but no model number there...

I've got one just like that, it is indeed a 3500 and they do seem like good saws.

What's that old Klingon proverb? Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I will say one thing, that I had help in this endevor and the help should be brought out to the spotlight as well. First Mopar Mike helped me with some parts for it, second Roger/3000FPS helped with some case repairs and my friend Cbfarmall/Chris helped by hounding me to get it done in time for the GTG.

Now enough of that. Did you all see that video of the 475 that he done? What a runner, I'm still grinning from ear to ear.

I would say were two happy guys right now and I feel great about it.

I like this picture better then the ones posted as it shows the good decal. :msp_biggrin:

I knew their were a few people involved in this build, but wasn't sure who. Roger whatever repairs you did I can't see them, so you did a top notch job. Thank you! Chris thinks for keeping the fire under Mark, I can still smell the paint curing. Mike I owe you some firewood.

Mark I really hope you like that 475. I try and put everything I have in each saw I build, overall so far so good. Well except that one time.:msp_wink:

 Andre.

All I did was alittle welding on it, but it sure made my day to see that saw cut wood.
Congratulations on the new saw.
