The Super72 is alive! No pictures, I just come in from the shop.

It seems to be a good runner too. Threw a dull chain on a 21" roller nosed bar and that saw just laughed at it. You cant even bog it down with it.

Hearing protection is a must, the comp is very good and with a little extra ign advance it has a real bark to it and when it cleans out in that cut and hits the sweet spot it just howls and echos!!!

Maybe an upcoming vid at the Ohio GTG?

Sure, I think that can happen.

Chris is bringing the piece of chain part I need to but a new Oregon #10 chain on the bow for it so that's what it will be wearing for the GTG.

I would really like to find another 31" Poulan hardnose bar like the one on my 71-A to put on it, but that bow will be fun as well. I'm thinking the bow wont hardly even load the saw!

Poulan Pro 325

Missing the two screws that attach the intake manifold to the saw body. I had them but guess I misplaced them or my neighbor broke in and took them. Anyone know what size they are? Can't locate an IPL that specifys the size.

Looked under the dog bowl today, rats, no screws, no metering lever springs...

4000

I sent one to Mark, another to Aaron. This is the one I kept, but all 3 were in good shape. This one had just been serviced by a poulan/husky dealer north of Boston where I picked it up. I wrote the history of this saw before on the "whats on your Bench thread" a couple weeks ago so Im not gonna bore you guys by repeating it again.
It had a carb kit done, new lines and was sorta clean. I took it down and cleaned it better. Has a 20" bar with a factory "S" spacer, the bar is a nice Windsor. I sharpened the chain but Ill replace it cause whoever sharpened it before kinda ruined it. It has very good compression, but I havent tested it yet. Prob get a new chain on it tomm.

Nice saw, Joe!

Nice saw Joe, you do a good job cleaning them up. So good I got a few for you to do when you get time. :msp_biggrin:

That saw showed up yesterday btw, nice piece, but I didn't get to do anything with it yet, was busy with the S72 and getting loaded for the GTG.

Waiting for the other one to get here when you get too it.

Finished the S72 tonight, Chris brought me the few links of chain I needed for the bow on it.

It runs good and is a pretty good looker as well. Like I thought a 14" bow don't hardly load it enough to clear it out, might have to lean it some in the future, keeping it rich for now for break in.

Anybody know where i can get the foam rubber gasket for a 306A that goes on under the carb box? Seals the carb box to the intak manifold. Atleast im assuming there was some form of gasket there, when i pulled the handle assembly off there was no telling the oil soaked wood from anything else, its all cleaned up now and would be nice if i could seal that area somehow. any thoughts?
