View attachment 320980 I know I'm the noob here, but I thought this thread was about Poulans....
So....I fixed the picture to show the actual device used to harvest that nice deer.
Nice deer, OhioGreg
PP365, well i got to working on the 365 and removed P/C and cleaned them up (removed carbon build up and 2 small nicks on top corner of piston, reassembled with no cylinder gasket, reinstalled and new impulse line. Pulled her over a few times and all felt ok. Installed plug and dribbled a little fuel in her and she fired up and ran. She seems to have some stout compression also. I do not know if she will stay together but i will give here a whirl to find out, what b/c goes on this thing? 20"?
Looks like a nice deer and a nice shoulder shot.I know this is off topic... but now with this out of the way, I can get back to playing (working) on chainsaws.
Poor guy was chasing a doe, and never saw the fat old geezer sittin there in his stand. Real nice large 8 pt.
The old Poulan geezer.
This is my sister holding it for a pic.
Gregg,
How do you send a PM? Am I missing something?
Nice 295 you got there Gregg.Just get rid this huge bar.Mine is at 1 1/2 on both screws.
I'm beginning to think I should turn in my Poulan Man Card... The 3400 I just put back together is giving me some grief too. I never had much of a problem with this series of saw before. The low speed needle doesn't seem to do much of anything. The high speed works & responds great. I noticed in the last kit I got for this carb, was a hair different. There is usually a couple gaskets, diaphragms etc. in the kit that don't exactly match any in the carb. But, there is allways one that does. I assume some carbs were a little different. This kit had none that were an exact match for what was in this carb. I just used one that looked to be the best match.
I'm gonna take it apart and check it with another good carb and see whats going on. In the meantime, I did finish the muffler mod on this saw. I tried the slit in the side, like many of you have. I think I kinda like that route. Pretty simple way to open up the thing, without just drilling holes or being able to braze or weld..LOL
Gregg,
Gregg, i just had the same issue with my late model (Poulan/Weedeater 3400) the carb doesn't want to adjust properly after a clean and rebuild. Saw starts up great and idles but wants to load up / fall on its face if i full throttle it. The H screw really does not make any changes when adjusting.I'm beginning to think I should turn in my Poulan Man Card... The 3400 I just put back together is giving me some grief too. Gregg,
Whoa Roger! You are definitely in block heater territory tonight. Bar oil would be slower than Heinz ketchup.Harley saw should be interesting.
