my new fleabay purchase had to get it, my grandma ordered a saw exactly like this back in 74? penny's had a special if you ordered over a $100 worth of stuff from their catalog, you get free shipping, then free shipping on your next purchase. My grandpa, was upset about A, my grandma spending money, 2, my grandpa was a manager for western auto parts and was stealing business to him. However my grandparents passed, and in 1998, a year after my grandpa went into a nursing home someone stole all his tools and his saws, including one like this. But this saw was 89.99 in the catalog, I my aunt still has the owners manual and receipt for my grandpas saw.

Nice saw! I seen that one listed and gave it a bit of thought, but now after hearing your story, I'm glad I didn't try for it and that you got it!! Good job on a saw you don't see often. In fact the only Penny saws I have seen have been branded Pencraft..

Yes I just retired about 1 year ago now. So I love my saws even the wild things and blow them out and wipe them down when finished using them. Plus I have about 30 Poulans and they get rotated. That does not count the Stihls, husqvarna, Jonsered, and Dolmars I have.

Nothing wrong with Wild Things, they are good saws, most stories you hear about them is that the owner didn't know how to use it and the carb needed to be adjusted. Out of all the saws I have, I grab it first, I just hate the gas cap, although I have modified it so it's easier to get off, still hate that cap.

I picked up a nice Poulan bar a while back....



I also picked up some Poulan branded .404 .063 chain. Its square ground skip and 100 DL . The part number shows it fits a 33" bar on a Poulan 6000...

I will, not sure what I'm going to put it on for sure. Might put it on my restored 306SA since it has a 21" unbranded roller on it and this one would be correct..

Breaker & Spinner set up, can you guys give me some ideas on setting up my break & Spinner? should i do it so it is portable? on a 2x10 or something or should I set it up on its own table like a 2 ft X 4 ft table? (space issue comes to mind though.
