I also picked up some Poulan branded .404 .063 chain. Its square ground skip and 100 DL . The part number shows it fits a 33" bar on a Poulan 6000...

Cool!

Hmmmm................ You guys gettin' as bad with part numbers as those fellows over on the 'vet forum.

On the bright side, you'all arn't doctors, lawyers and indian chiefs wringing their hands over their "investment".

This will be incoming next week, owner could not get it to start. My pickup man determined why, scored piston and 50 PSI.

You know I do not own a bow saw. I think it would be nice to have at least one. I never see them around here for sale and I would bet people here would not know what one is. I will have to keep ane eye open in the trading post.

And here they are. The 3400 needs some attention, craked rear handle (I have a spare), missing a/f knob, fuel cap, ign switch nut and retainer amd a broken manual oiler lever. Im pretty sure I have all these parts. Compression isnt super high, but Ive never had a 3400 that has but the internals are good. The PPS25 is one Ive wanted. This one had so much compression I initially thought it was locked up! But its nice and clean inside too. Needs a clutch and cover, I have plenty of both. Ill alos mount the ring the way its supposed to be on a tab.

Here you see the crack, also the early spacer/screw mount. this saw is an '80.

Damage side on the 25
