I may end up with 500 saws but I'll never have any "show saws"....can't not use a saw lol
My wife said the same thing. While she can appreciate the beauty of a NOS saw, if one got built, the desire to hear it run would be too much to bear. Even that "never driven" '67 Chevelle still has been cranked and a couple miles on her.

In rattle can I think this is the closest you can get.
Is that what you are using for your next Wild Thing project? :)

Key Lime on a 505. For $4 bucks who gives a **** it is a chainsaw. Never seen the ivy leaf green in the rattle can or what ever it was, cool find if it works.

My next one of these I'm slowly building is going to be real orange. Just because (to be different) and the wood it will cut dont care. ;)

All depends IMO which shade of green you are matching up. Fading or whatever it seems like about 5 shades or maybe just different batches over the years. :D

Warning my cheap camera suks for colors.

1st test of $4 key lime to a 3450

Recoil key lime, compared to wild thing and a 2100 green.

At the gtg this saw was beside a 5200 and looked same color. Just depends on who's 5200 your setting against IMO. Seems to be about 5 different colors on them from what I saw. JMO

If your going to paint, paint to your liking and enjoy IMO.

Kevin I forgot about about that on the repair forum & thanks all for the input. I'm not real worried about it either, just kinda wanted to have in mind what I'm looking for before I'm at the wrong store not sure what I'm looking for.

I can relate to projects taking too long. I've been putting together things for awhile for this one. slowly but surely it will get there.

There I knew where everthing was and which poulan thread. Here I didnt have a clue where it was buried at in this thread. So I just posted it fresh.
Look in the Green 505 thread on the Chainsaw Repair site. Thank we had a thread on the poulan green too.
I know it's here too, but aint into digging through this 1 long thread.

Would like to see that rattle ivy green someone posted, on a part sometime. Might get a itch to paint something when it gets warmer

245SA AF cover & AF on a 306A?

How have y'all been? I took a break from AS because I haven't been doing much with saws.

I recently got a "sleeper" 306A rebadged as a Western Auto Wizard 430 Automatic via eBay, that is missing the AF cover & AF.

My question is, can I use the AF & cover from my 245SA to at least test it until I can get the proper parts? I haven't had the chance to try it (maybe in a couple of days) but something tells me no, it won't work. I know that the 245 cover is taller, but I'm not sure about how the AF might/might not fit properly.

Thanks in advance!

Chris

The A/F is the same i think the top will bolt right on if you have the stud long enough for the nut.

I assume you mean the 375. New fangled version of the 3700. Better air filter set up. Not sure what else. I don't own one but wish I did.

Thanks for the info. I figured it was either a 3400 or a 3700, but wasn't sure. Clutch cover is missing. Haven't had any time to look it over, been working on a generator and another saw.
