Tried all kinds of tricks to get that top cone shape spring bent back but no joy. Can't get a good hold on it.

You got a picture of that? I can't see it clearly in the diagram and it reminds me of some of the springs they used in other saws. I have a lot of the little homeowner versions with spring a/v mounts and thought one might cross over or be close enough to work.

But after seeing several members saws and running one not to long ago, I am looking for a Poulan 330 (or one of the equivalents). I have the Poulan bug and the itch needs scratched. :rock:

If anyone knows where about a nice one is, for a decent price? PM me please. :bowdown:
 
I can't say much, got my son in-laws Husky 51 sitting on the bench with a toasted piston and cylinder , going to put an over size kit on it and see how she does. He bought it from a guy that said it was hard to start but ran great, lol. Son in-laws only knows how to run one, not good at buying a used one.
