My next project. Been wanting one of these since I first read about them. Now, the recoil says 3.3...but poulan lies to us! In a good way. As is the case with many of their saws this saw was marked lower than it's actual displacement. This is a type III saw 60cc. It's a wolf in sheeps clothing so to speak. 155 psi, runs good but I'm gonna clean, inspect and replace fuel lines and mod the muffler. I've done 4 3400/3800 recently so it's time for a change!View attachment 404835View attachment 404839 View attachment 404840
Hey Kevin, Do you know if it makes a difference what color they are? Them 3450's. I think that one I seen on C-list was green & purple, not the green & black like Joe's.
Gregg,

The green and purple was the Tim Allen signature series IIRC.
Could be wrong on that though.
Could you please explain the term Type III. I've heard similar types I - II etc but don't understand the meaning.
green purple 3450 worth good money. Only seen 2 so far whole and 1 in parts. Most green purple are the 3750 ones.Hey Kevin, Do you know if it makes a difference what color they are? Them 3450's. I think that one I seen on C-list was green & purple, not the green & black like Joe's.
Gregg,
What type? Handle mounted? Believe I have one.Does anyone have an extra correct hand guard for a 3800? I think I want to add one to the 3800 I have that doesn't have one. I have some parts to trade if anyone has an extra.
You got it Joe. That's the Gilardoni cylinder.Another easy way to spot a 60 cc saw are the cooling fins on the cylinder head. The 54cc saws don't have them. As seen above
