I do have a blower, just havn't used it for a couple years now. Kind of a pain to mount and dismount. Worked very well though. I was surprised even in deep snow & drifts how well it worked. A blower is great once you have snow piled everywhere and no place to push it any more. Can't believe I don't have pics of it, actually in snow. :dizzy:
Wheel Horse 520H, & 44" two stage blower. I use chains on it also. They weren't on in the pics.

Gregg,

That's a machine right there Gregg! Yours has the HD blower on it too. Toro used the same basic design on the 8/26 and 11/32 blowers and on the wheel horse. Then they made lighter duty versions of all of them. Yours has the Shute extension I just ordered. Thanks for sharing the pictures. What year?

It is a 1993 model Joe. I have a 1989 518H also. Never tried the blower on that one, but when I used to make garden, I used it to plow with. Have a one bottom Brinely (sp?) moldboard plow, and a disk. That has a sleeve hitch on it, the 520H does not. Its amazing how much power that blower takes, especially in deep snow. Makes that 20 horse Onan grunt, and use the fuel. LOL

Gregg,

Here is how I beat the weather.

A shot from the dungeon 5 min. ago. Douglas Fir and Larch are compliments of a trusty pair of 3400's. And, a couple of eager daughters help with lighting the kindling.

I've had a hard time burning 2 cords this mild winter here. You other fellows don't seem as fortunate. Stay warm.

That is a nice view for sure!! I heat with wood also. Unfortunately, the only time i see the fire is when I open the furnace door down in the basement. :(

Gregg,

that is still an awesome machine. I like garden tractors they can save a lot of work. I especially like 2 stage snow blowers. If I could find a 2 stage blower for this one I would be in hog heaven. It weighs 1000 pounds. Three cylinder diesel that thinks it is much larger.

I often wished Wheel Horse had made a diesel version of the 500 series. Of course it would have been expensive as all get out. Wheel Horse kinda got its wings clipped when Toro bought them, in about 1990. Was a slow demise the next several years after that. Kind of like what happened to Poulan....:nofunny:

Gregg,

Wood stove glass replacement, where do i get a replacement glass for my wood stove? It is small (6 5/16 " X 12 1/2")

The wife tried to push the log in with the door. I did not get mad!!

those flathead engines are a bit thirsty....it is in their nature. That blower looks very heavy. It must have a hydraulic lift?

Yes, The 520 I have has a hydraulic lift. The 518 just has a manual lift. Yes the Onan twin likes the gasoline. They actually had an external add on fuel tank that mounted on the back of the tractor, LOL The tractors on board tank holds 2 1/2 gal. I believe. I guess it would have been ok, if you didn't want to use the back of the tractor for anything else.

Hopefully she didn't get burnt. If the manufacturer/dealer of the stove is still around, I'd try them. The 3/16" ceramic glass is pricey. There are numerous shops and dealers that custom cut and ship. I am guessing that you could be looking at $60-100 (yikes) for that glass and the gasket for custom cut.

I just looked at Woodlanddirect (couldn't paste link) and they custom cut/ship. There is likely a local glass shop that can do the same if you are located in a larger urban centre.

I have had to replace the class panels in both doors on my fireplace. Went factory replacement the first time. The factory glass has never lasted more than 2 years. Both doors now have glass from a local glass shop and it has lasted more than 10 years. They said it is designed for oven doors.

Been looking for a bar for the S25CVA that I got recently. But I decided to try and "clean up" the one it came last night instead. Bar had a ton of rust on it,
but I bought $5 Dremel grinding bit after work yesterday to see if that would work. That got all the rust off and then I just went over it again with a red
Scothbrite pad. Turned out pretty good I think. All said and done took about 30-40 minutes.

During the process.

And back on the saw.
