Then I musta met ya. Quite a few folks there and I sorta just stayed out of the way since I didn't really know anyone. I was standing right next to Snelling when he shot the second vid......., and it was LOUD!!!

Jim Rigdon (boda65) was the host and put on a real nice event. And I'm an Ohio guy too and didn't go to the Indiana GTG (or any last year for that matter). Hope to work one in this year somewhere somehow. Have quite a few more saws now than I did then!

Ahh Yes, boda65, My memory is going fast it seems. I first met Jim at the very first GTG I ever went to. Was down in southern Indiana, I'm gonna guess maybe 2008, around Halloween time.

We did meet at Jim's western Ohio GTG. LOL There was quite a few there I had never met, but a lot that I have also. Mostly Poulan guys...:D

Gregg,

Thats the only bad thing about GTG's. The distance folks have to travel. There are numerous ones around the country that I would like to attend, but just to darn far. Just have to pick one nearest to ya I guess. Seems to be more of them scattered throughout the midwest, more so than east or west coast.

I been to four of them and hosted four. Farthest I went to was in eastern Ill. I have had a great time at all that I been to. Great people, and just about every kind of saw you can imagine.

Gregg,

Nate, I would love to attend a GTG out in Calif. or the Pacific Northwest...just to see the saws and fellas that run them. That is if they allow flatland farmers to go to them. LOL But, I'm in the same boat you are...just going in the opposite direction.

One thing I learned about going to GTG's at any distance, you want to camp or get a motel room. Cause as far as it is getting there, you gotta go back. Gives ya more time to visit and drink a few cold ones, and tell tall chainsaw stories. :D

I do enjoy a few cold ones and tall tales!

Gregg,

I'm working to setup a host Motel for our GTG. I know the guy who owns one only 4 miles from the GTG site. I'm waiting to hear back from him, he was working on a special rate for us.

Man I wish I could, but I'm afraid it's more than just distance, I've got a young family and travel to a gtg unfortunately isn't at the top of the priority list:)

Well I finally got my 3.7 I've been wanting. Got a nice little package from Mr Modifiedmark today:) can't wait to fire this one up! Thanks again Mark!

And a little sunshine for you guys still snowed in.

Awesome. I know mark warmed that saw up a bit too. The thin ring 61 cc saws are kick a$$, not all that common either. 3700s don't pop up too often and the red craftsmans are even less common
