So I finally got around to tearing my 25 (33cc) down last night. Knew it was scored a little bit, compression was low, etc. Had ran it a little bit since I've gotten it but it was a scrap yard find for $5 so I wasn't too mad. When I took the top handle off and removed the reed, I found a small wood chip stuck in the corner of the reed block holding it open slightly on one side. Pulled the cyl and the crank case had a bit of oil in the bottom... Probably why it smoked like you were fogging bees. Figure the check valve sh** the bed causing that. The P&C were in this shape... Not sure if that's salvageable or not. I kinda doubt it.
Always wanted a Micro ever since I had the Ertl toy version as a kid. My son is pretty fond of this little saw too, as he was the one who actually spotted it. Looks about like I can find me a good runner... Maybe even a 5cc upgrade, hehe, for about the same money as I'm looking to spend in parts to fix this one.
On another note, what's up with that flywheel? Looks like the metal came off where the magnets are...
