I did the $4-5 rattle can option with Key Lime Rustoleum when I went over the 3400. Not a perfect match but close enough. I agree with JJ - so many Poulan greens out there, it has to match or be darn close to one of them.
For me, spending $25-30 on paint and the seeing the first chip/scratch would irritate me - much easier dealing with a $5 chip/scratch and having easy access to a touch up can at Home Depot.
Had the 3400 out for a rip this morning.

Debating on doing a clean up on the 4200 and adding new decals... But it's such a clean original, I think it'll be better left as is.
Yes, Mopar sublime green is suppose to be the color that is suppose to be close. But, it must depend on where you get it. I bought a quart of sublime and hardener from a auto restoration outfit in Calif. Is way to green in my opinion, should be a little more yellow in it. Don't look bad...but if it is next to a correct original saw, easy to see.
I guess the best thing is just have some custom mixed. I know Mark has. Brad (blsnelling) had some mixed at a Mastersons (Ace Hardware) that turned out real close, and best of all it was fairly cheap. I wrote down the mix codes he used. Figured if I ever do another one, I'll try that.
Here is my repainted 5200, next to my original 4200. Big difference.
Gregg,
Those saws look well used.Happy Halloween every one! Scored myself a Halloween deal today, 2 saws, $30.
