I had not heard that either. They bought out the Tom Brown locations, I bought some Stihl stuff from the Patterson Ave. store. Last I knew they also had a location in Harrisonburg.

Just from reading your post Gary, sounds like that is right about where my ancestors lived, and came west from. Just a little ways out of Harrisonburg.
There is a Blosser's chicken hatchery. Thats their farm there, or at least was.. There is a small family cemetery on that farm. Have pictures of it, but have yet to get out that way. From what I have seen, its pretty country around there.

Gregg,

You may want to glue on a new foam strip around the carb adapter, what I saw in that picture, it has seen better days, need that to help keep junk out of carb.

Steve
I think I accidentally destroy it some on disassembly because it was so dirty ,if it runs I'll go back and button all little things

I would clean up all the exhaust parts first. The square thing is the diffuser and support for the muffler assy. Most of us will drill out the holes to a larger dia. and ditch the very restrictive spark screen. Some areas I know they are required. But not in my area.:D

Gregg,

It is scenic, lots of limestone and mountains. I grew up just the other side of the Blue Ridge from Harrisonburg.
