Picked up a couple winter projects for 10 bucks each with a scabbard. The Craftsman 2.3 Power-Sharp looks all original - still has all of the power-sharp feature intact and with the 1/4 inch barracuda chain.

They are one of my favorites and go to saw. Nice weight to power.

I just got my first saw in that series, a muff modded 3000. Have yet to try it out though.

I hear good things about them! I'm finally going to actually start it for the first time tonight, bar and chain just went on this weekend so I just need to fuel it up.

They seem to be overlooked all too often just because they're a black Craftsman and folks don't know what they really are.

And that 2.3 is just a cute little gem I'd love to have in my jelly bean collection....just because.

VA 372xp, are you saying that Pleasant's Hardware here in Richmond is going out of business? I hadn't heard that. That's too bad. Remember the old Tom Brown's Hardware Stores? Local businesses are truly fading away. Max.

I had not heard that either. They bought out the Tom Brown locations, I bought some Stihl stuff from the Patterson Ave. store. Last I knew they also had a location in Harrisonburg.

Looks like the main Pleasants store on West Broad will close by the end of February. The building will be torn down to make way for a Whole Foods grocery store. The other locations have apparently been put up for sale. Wish I was there to bargain shop (like I did when they closed the Short Pump location).

Hope so as I have two nos.

I don't think that the guy I chat with have done anything about the piston kit, probably haven't checked the other kits for proper fit.
