Guilty of using a tool to tighten the gas cap before I new better. I don't think it is the tank though. I will inspect the neck to be sure.

Just get an "O" ring and replace the rubber gasket on the cap.

I did find out one thing about my saw, the gas cap leaks. It leaves a spot of gas where ever it sits. I do see some rubberish thing on the neck of the cap, between the threads and outside of the cap. Something isn't sealing though.

Yep an oring.

Never use a tool to tighten those caps, be like putting a pair of vice grips on your cars gas cap or oil fill cap, pis$#@ off oil change tech or your better halve putting gas in the car, not a good day.

Better yet, oil drain plug someone over tightened with a twelve point wrench and rounded the head, like it really holding something together, out comes the air hammer.

Sidewall, you missed it. The fire has spread across the mountain, and is causing evacuations in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Looks like it pigeon forge is burning, on the news.

I am safe. I live well away from the fire but are praying they don't move closer. My friends who live up there are safe, afaik. Thanks for the prayers.

When we saw that fire Thursday it was small looking, like a camp type of smoke with only two forestry trucks at the base on 441 spur to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. On Sunday evening more trucks and no mountain top, they should have sent more when they went to it at the beginning. Also they need to let folks go in and cut the standing dead trees, I saw a lot of them from the lack of rain.

I know it's not Poulan or a saw, but I figured hey, we all like older stuff with motors right!? Picked up my first snow thrower yesterday, an older Ariens which I've wanted for a while. Not sure why, just think they are cool well built machines. Starter just needs the rope redone but it runs and works good. $100 but some of that I'm getting back because the guy had a Poulan 3300 that needs a little work so I'm gonna get that running right for him.
