He's going to throw me a bit of cash and I'll get him a running saw, spare chain, and scrench. With a lifetime warranty to cover maintenance because he's a good dude.

Oh, giving him a saw with lifetime parts warranty, nice of you. Might want to teach him how to mix fuel correctly and use etho free gas. Pistons and cylinders aren't cheap.

I'm going to insist he use canned fuel. One can will last him till retirement. He's 41 lol.

Came up with this idea to install my crankshaft into my case after I had installed the seals, it's a wire nut. Couldn't get the tape or coke can method to work but this works like a charm.

Way to go Steve, nice idea. I always put the seals in last but will keep that in mind if I ever need to do it that way.

I would check it first, saw shops tend to move on from older saws and state things that are not 100%

Common for pp445 to have metal cover and black tank? I'm impressed how it runs untouched.

Yep on the 445. Dave had said he found a few. Very cool.

Have 3 of them myself. 70.7cc quad port

Have NOS covers in metal too. Plus 1 used metal that came on 1 of the 3 saws.

Black tank is the updated tank with af set up. 425 445 505 tank.

Talking about the 445's.
A shop owner in another state contacted me about parts for this 445 he got in but couldnt get parts. I sent him a new NOS intake boot to fix it.
